The best time to visit Uganda is during the dry seasons, from December to mid-March and June to mid-September. These months are popular with tourists, especially July, August, Christmas, and New Year. Uganda has an equatorial climate with temperatures ranging from 20°C to 27°C, occasionally dipping to 12°C. The north experiences the highest temperatures, while the peaks of Mount Rwenzori are the coolest. Rainfall varies, with most areas receiving 1,000mm to 2,000mm annually, though some northern regions get as low as 100mm. After the rain, you can always expect sunshine!

A maximum number of 8 visitors may visit a group of habituated gorillas in a day, to minimize behavioral disturbances to the gorillas and the risk of their exposure to human born diseases.
Do not leave rubbish in the park. Whatever you bring into the forest should be carried back with you.

Move quietly and avoid noises as well as sudden movements.

Try to keep a minimum distance of 7 meters to the animals.

Although HIV/AIDS infection rates are lower than many countries in Africa, the prevalence of HIV/AIDS infection is certainly higher than in most Western countries. Therefore play safe.
